Cookie Policy
Last updated: 2026-05-15
This Cookie Policy is provided pursuant to the Italian Data Protection Authority’s guidelines of 10 June 2021 and Article 122 of the Italian Privacy Code (Legislative Decree 196/2003 as amended by Legislative Decree 101/2018) and describes the cookies and tracking technologies used by winningtime.it, their purposes and how users can give or withdraw their consent.
What cookies and tracking technologies are
Cookies are small text files that the websites visited by the user send to their device, where they are stored to be sent back to the same websites on the next visit. The Italian Data Protection Authority treats as equivalent to cookies other client-side identifiers and storage technologies (such as the browser’s localStorage and sessionStorage). Cookies and similar technologies can be classified, based on their purpose, as technical tools (necessary for the operation of the site or requested by the user) and profiling or third-party analytics tools (used to analyse user behaviour or for advertising purposes), which require the user’s prior consent.
Technical tools (no consent required)
The website only uses technical tools to ensure its proper operation and to remember the user’s cookie preferences. In particular: the key “wt_consent_v1” stored in the browser’s localStorage, which records the choice made by the user on the cookie banner (acceptance or rejection of analytics); it has unlimited duration and remains on the device until manually deleted. For the restricted /admin area only, session cookies managed by Supabase (named “sb-*-auth-token”) are also used to enable authentication and keep the session active; these cookies last for the duration of the authentication session and are never set on the public area of the site. For technical tools, pursuant to Article 122 of the Italian Privacy Code, no user consent is required.
Third-party analytics — Google Analytics 4 (consent required)
The site uses Google Analytics 4, a statistical analysis service provided by Google Ireland Ltd. (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) and Google LLC, to measure website usage in aggregated form (number of visits, page views, devices, approximate geographic origin). The service is configured in “Consent Mode v2”, with the default set to “denied” for all storage types, with IP anonymisation (anonymize_ip: true) and with all advertising signals disabled. Requests to Google are made only after the user has given consent through the cookie banner. Once consent has been given, the following cookies are set in particular: “_ga” (user identifier, duration 13 months) and “_ga_<ID>” (session state, duration 13 months). Data may be transferred to the United States of America on the basis of the Standard Contractual Clauses adopted by the European Commission and, where applicable, Google’s certification under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. For further information and for the provider’s privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
Granting and withdrawing consent
On the first access to the website, a banner is shown that allows the user to choose whether to accept or reject analytics cookies using the “Accept” and “Reject” buttons. If no choice is made, no analytics cookies are installed and Google Analytics remains inactive. The choice made by the user is stored locally in the browser (key “wt_consent_v1”) to avoid showing the banner on every visit. The user may withdraw consent at any time by clearing the site’s cookies and local storage from their browser settings: on the next visit the banner will be shown again and a new preference can be expressed.
Disabling cookies via the browser
In addition to the banner, the user can configure the browser to block or delete cookies. Official instructions are available at the following pages: Google Chrome (support.google.com/chrome/answer/95647), Mozilla Firefox (support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/cookies-information-websites-store-on-your-computer), Apple Safari (support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/safari/sfri11471/mac), Microsoft Edge (support.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge). Disabling technical cookies may impair the proper use of some features of the site.
Rights of the data subject
For the rights granted to data subjects by Articles 15–22 of the GDPR (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability, withdrawal of consent) and the procedures for exercising them, please refer to the Privacy Policy of the site. The controller can be contacted at info@winningtime.it. The right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it) remains unaffected.
Updates to this Cookie Policy
The controller reserves the right to update this Cookie Policy at any time, for example to reflect changes in applicable law or in the tools actually used. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this document. Users are invited to consult this page from time to time.
The list of cookies and tracking technologies may change depending on the preferences expressed by the user and the services actually activated. For up-to-date details or any request, please write to info@winningtime.it.
